Ms. Lewis is a newly licensed attorney practicing in a variety of areas, including family law, employment and labor law, and civil litigation.

Ms. Lewis was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin for her undergraduate degree in Sociology, where she completed her Honors Thesis on the Effects of Gender and Income on Child Custody Evaluations. She received her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law and graduated Cum Laude. After her first year at Tech, she became a member of the Law Student Pro Bono College, signifying her completion of over 100 hours of pro bono legal services during her 1L summer. During her last year at Tech, she participated in the Family Law and Housing Clinical Program, where she represented low-income individuals in Lubbock County pro bono.

Ms. Lewis worked as a Summer Law Clerk at Person, Whitworth, Borchers, & Morales, LLP during her first summer at Tech. The following summer, she began working for Whitworth Cigarroa, PLLC, where she spent most of her time working on research and briefing for Zapata v. Biden (then Zapata v. Trump), a critical lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of border wall construction in the Laredo Sector. Ms. Lewis continued her work as a Law Clerk for Whitworth Cigarroa, PLLC during her last year of law school, and along with Carlos Evaristo Flores and Jose “Chito” Vela III, co-authored an article entitled “At the Borders of the Constitution”, which was published in the State Bar of Texas International Law Section Newsletter.

Upon graduating and passing the bar exam in October 2021, she became Whitworth Cigarroa, PLLC’s first Associate Attorney. Ms. Lewis is a dedicated and passionate advocate that works diligently to provide her clients with the relief they seek.
